This river location makes you feel like you wanna take your shoes off and just be. Sand, boats, trees, water all in a few minutes stroll. Its the perfect setting to relax and get used to having your photo taken as a couple. And so we did. I met up with Jasmin and Alex on a Sunday arvo. We choose the afternoon to meet as the light gives various options, from soft backlight for gentle portraits to contrast sun light, resulting in variety of photo styles. We also went to Cottesloe. Alex used to live in Cottelsoe and loves the view from the Jetty and the big boulder rocks.
I asked Jasmin and Alex to bring something along that they cherish and identifies them as a couple. In the early stages of the relation ship (date number 3) Alex gave Jasmin his favourite cap, a ‘Deus ex machina’ cap, as a reminder of him before she left on her trip to Africa. Jasmin’s words: I wore the cap for the entire trip – even for an 8 day trek to the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro!!!!
My attitude to a fun and successful portrait shoot is to just go for a walk, let it happen and pictures appear. I love it when time and time again this formula works. I not only end up having the best time getting to know my clients, some pretty darn cool pics appear though my viewfinder and later look even more epic on my screen. Michelle and Chris are getting married soon and I can’t wait to shoot their big day!
Once upon a time there was this thought to get married in Fiji.. and it happened! What better scenario then to be surrounded by family and friends on a tropical island when you say ‘yes I do’
Digby and Ruth made their dreams real and got hitched in paradise. Imaging hanging out lots on the beach with your best mates and family, cocktails in overflow and a photographer to capture it all. A wedding holiday at your feet! I can speak for all when I say that we all had THE BEST TIME EVER! Here a few moments of the pre wedding fun…
Digby & Ruth’s engagement session got featured in the first print edition of Bula Bride Magazine
Wedding photos will follow soon!! xxx Nic
It had been raining most days we scheduled to meet up for our shoot. But not on this particular Friday. I called Yvonne at 1pm saying yep, the sun is out, lets go. Only two more days before they get married. I am ready! Nic
